On October 19, 2008, one hundred and seventy-five members of Congregation Beth HaTephila, along with representatives from all of
Asheville’s Jewish organizations, gathered in downtown Asheville,
North Carolina and produced HardLox - Asheville’s Jewish Food and Heritage Festival. The HardLox Festival began six years ago and has become an annual celebration of Jewish culture in the city of Asheville. This is the story of what took place on that beautiful, sunny day.
